Police arrested a Conroe man and woman early Sunday morning while they were allegedly fleeing when a Zone D’Erotica employee foiled the pair’s alleged attempt to rob the store.
Morel Leroy Sneed Jr., 29, and Itzavely Nisena Gamboa, 21, are being held in the Montgomery County Jail, each charged with aggravated robbery and evading arrest. Sneed is held on no bond and Gamboa is being held on total bonds of $30,750, according to jail records.

Around 12:45 a.m., an employee working in the Zone D’Erotica located at 823 Interstate 45 South allegedly spotted a man and woman, identified by police as Sneed and Gamboa, standing behind the store acting suspiciously, Conroe police Deputy Chief Russell Reynolds said.
The employee called police and told dispatchers that the two were wearing dark clothing and what appeared to be white masks, Reynolds said. One of them was holding what appeared to be a metal object, and the employee believed they were going to try to rob the store.
A Conroe police officer arrived minutes later, and Sneed and Gamboa allegedly ran toward the nearby Bellshire Apartments, Reynolds said. The first officer detained Sneed, while a second officer caught and detained Gamboa.
Between 2006 and September 2011, the Zone D’Erotica store has been robbed nine times. On Sept. 1, 2011, a shootout at the store between two suspects and Conroe police officers left one suspect, Hoke Eberhardt Jr., of Conroe, injured. The second suspect, David Ray Wilkins, of Houston, was arrested the next day.
